Absolutely not. The price we quote is the price you pay — period. Our fees cover all labor, fuel, loading, and disposal. The only scenario where a quote may change is if you add additional items beyond what was quoted, which we'll always discuss with you in advance before proceeding.

Yes! We offer same-day junk removal throughout Chicago and most suburbs. Call (847) 306-9567 before noon and we'll do our best to dispatch a crew that same day, subject to availability. We also offer scheduled appointments for weekdays, Saturdays, and limited Sunday availability.

Most standard junk removal jobs take 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on volume and access. A single-item pickup might take 20 minutes. A full garage cleanout typically takes 1–3 hours. A full estate or hoarding cleanout can take a full day or multiple days — we'll provide an accurate time estimate when we quote your job.

Very little preparation is needed. Simply:
• Identify the items you want removed
• Ensure our crew can access the area (unlock gates, garages, etc.)
• Separate anything you want to keep from what we're hauling away
• You do NOT need to bring items outside — we go inside garages, basements, attics, and anywhere else.

We remove almost everything, including:

• Mattresses & box springs

For safety and legal reasons, we do NOT accept:
• Paint, stains, or solvents

• Motor oil, gasoline, or fuels
• Medical waste or sharps
• Radioactive materials
• Fluorescent bulbs (contact a local recycling center)

Yes, we remove single items! There is a minimum charge that covers our crew's time and travel, but we're happy to come out for a single couch, refrigerator, mattress, or any other item. Call us and we'll quote it for you.

Absolutely. Garage Cleanout Guys is committed to responsible, eco-friendly disposal. Our process:
1. We first assess items for donation to Chicago-area charities and nonprofits
2. Recyclable materials go to appropriate recycling centers
3. Only items that truly cannot be reused or recycled go to licensed disposal facilities

We aim to divert 60% or more of all collected material away from landfills on every job.

We can provide a general description of donated items, but official tax receipts must come from the receiving charity. We're happy to share which local Chicago organizations we partner with so you can follow up with them directly for documentation.

Yes — Garage Cleanout Guys is fully licensed and insured in the State of Illinois. We carry:

While damage is extremely rare, we're fully insured if anything does happen. Our team is professionally trained to handle items carefully and protect floors, doorways, and walls. If any damage occurs, our insurance covers it. Your satisfaction and property are 100% protected.
